The most exciting NEW choir

The Toronto Choral Artists, established in 2008 by Artistic Director Mark Vuorinen, are well on their way to establishing themselves as one of Toronto’s foremost chamber choirs. Consisting of accomplished singers from a variety of professional and musical backgrounds, the Toronto Choral Artists are devoted to professional-calibre performances of a wide variety of music, with a special emphasis on championing the works of up-and-coming Canadian composers. In their inaugural season, the Toronto Choral Artists gave premiere performances of music by Toronto composers Elisha Denburg and Rob Teehan, both of whom sing with the choir.

The mandate of the Toronto Choral Artists is two-pronged: to champion new music, and to lend their voices to the wider community by performing concerts for social change. Now in its second season, the Toronto Choral Artists are delighted to have the opportunity to join forces with the esteemed musicians of The Bach Consort to celebrate the music of Bach for the betterment of the international community. This collaboration, Cantatas for Christmas, will give 100% of the concert proceeds to the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund. This opportunity to foster collaboration between two like-minded groups of Toronto musicians is truly representational of the ways in which music can unite performers and audiences for social change.
